Huh? If you're not close to -2deg rear and still -0.5deg front, then how did you do it without links and plates? If you are "springs only" then the camber is far from perfect, I fear. I've found lowering springs to be the sharp end of a very large suspension mod wedge...Originally Posted by Jenn B

It is perfect for my driving.
I guess I'm just lucky for now. I have learned in my years with MINIs and the research I did before lowering that some people have issues with camber and some don't. Plenty of people lower their cars and have very little if any adjustments to make and some have a ton.
Being an 06, my car does have a cetain amount of adjustability but I do plan to add more with some control arms. I made an appointment to have it aligned after I got new wheels but was assured that I didn't need it right now. I'll take it by the shop and have it reevaluated after a few more 1,000 miles on the springs.
I really don't think someone can tell me my camber isn't perfect or near perfect without ever seeing my car.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "perfect", eh? If you take your car to an alignment shop, whether they use digital equipment or not, they will set the car up, or tell you it's "within specs" if the car measures within the range they look up in their computer. For the MINI, it's a pretty wide range--e.g. the rear camber can be between -1deg and -2deg. -2 is what I ended up wiith after installing HSport springs, and so it was "within range" But since the front stayed at -.6deg, (which is also within OEM range), you end up with the front and rear camber "****-backawards". But if your's is "perfect" without ever experiencing a -2 front and -1.3 rear camber, then go for it!
cheers as always,

im running 3.0 degrees negative camber in the back... so? everyone's free to run their own settings.. although i gotta admit im putting it back soon

You should also be able to just put some lamix (whatever the color protective film is) over them.

Well, I went the Lamin-X route and it gives a different look. I have all my lenses tinted dark (except for head lights and fog lights in the lower bumper) and they go with the whole DS/B dechromed look, but others might like the clean, clear light look, just as kyriian's car displays. So you can go clear, clear with tint, or stock with tint. Lots of choices...

if i did that setting on my car that would most-likely feel too quirky. Originally Posted by gandini

ie. rear would slip out too easily. you can't say your setting is
'perfect' without knowing the other parts the other cars might
have, tires, and driver inputs. what works for you may or may not
work for everyone.
and im not talking about just cosmetics... oh it looks too slanted, let's
put it back straight. lol..
