I dont see how even BMW could come up with a reason to deny warrenty with regards to the USS. But and this is a big BUT if there was any concern on the part of the owner the USS can be removed in about 10 min .

Peter, just received my USS - it truly is a shame to have to bolt it to the underside of the car - very nicely done. I pulled my back out recently so installation will have to wait but I post my feedback then. BTW, I have an MC with sports package but not sports plus so it may provide a slightly different perspective than the prior posts.

Very cool Dave. Will you be making the Dragon this year?

Back injuries suck so speedy recovery to you.

I'll second that. I just had the USS and M7 STB installed and noticed an immediate difference driving home - the car seemed to ride better over the highway expansion joints and the impacts seemed like they more damped. This was a welcome improvement as my suspension setup is pretty stiff. I'd speculate that the more suspension mods you've done and the harsher your ride, the more you'll notice an improvement with the USS and STB. (Since I had both installed at the same time, I can't comment on the effectiveness of one or the other... just the combination of the two seems to work well.)

Just finished my install of the USS system and it makes a huge difference. I had the top strut bar on for about 2 weeks or so and that diffently helped but together with the USS...the difference is awesome I have stock s suspension, I'm waiting on a set of hsport springs from m7, I'll have more to say on the handling after I get those installed.

As far as the installation, couple of issues.

1st for one the undercoating was so thick around the holes on my car that I ruinued the first insert being a novice insert insaller. Thankfully they provided three...how did they know:-) After I removed the undercoating down to the metal I had no problem getting the insert to work, air tools help allot or maybe a powerful drill to get the insert in correctly. It seats on the front edge of the first hole not the hole you drill so its important to have it flush...tough to do with just hand tools.

2nd issue, the passanger side front bolt would not go all the way into the hole something was blocking it, I had to grind in down about an 1/8th or put a couple of washers under it.

3rd issue the rear plate, The stock rear plate has some holes to hold some rubber mounts to hold the exhaust in place. I'm not sure why they did not mimic the stock holes so I could have mounted that back the way it was, would have been easy with all the machining already done to that plate. I did some tie wrapping but now I have what I think is an exhaust rattle I have to figure out why.

Maybe my car is slightly different, Anyways like I said I'm very happy with the setup but having modified many cars including my rx7 with to many mods to list for many years, for once I'd like to get something I didn't have to modify to make work. Upper strut bar pushing hood up comes to mind...again I love the piece but didn't know I would have to deal with the bulging hood.

Did you remove the stock rear plate? If so, I don't think you were supposed to.

Thanks for the comprehensive write up on your install and we are happy to see that you have noticed an improvement in the handling department. As for your install issues allow me to make a few comments. Yes we included a extra insert as that can be tricky the first time. You did well removing the spray on insulation as on some cars it is spread extra thick.
As for that passenger side bolt here is the scoop on that. The hole is shared by a bolt coming down from the top side. On some cars this bolt extends further on others . We have ahd some installs where there was no contact at all and others where ,like you did, washers /spacers are needed. It is not much maybe one eighth of a inch but it needs to be done.
Lastly, the trouble you have with the rear plate is that you use both the stock and our unit. You just unbolt the old one and add ours using the supplied longer bolts. Your exhaust mounts will remain the same and should take care of that exhaust rattle.
I hope I have addressed some of your issues well enough and if not feel free to call us . Thanks for the support and taking the time to share your experience.

A friend of mine with a cabrio that was at my dyno day at Swift had one installed while we were there. He said he loves it, makes a big difference.

Randy give me call.

Ah ok thats where I went wrong, I removed the stock rear square brace ....DOH that would be why the exhaust is rattling. I get a little crazy with the air wrench when I start removing parts. I was so focused on doing the front bar correctly. THANKS, to think I almost tossed that out for the trash today.

Got more seat time today and the body just feels solid through the turns very confidence inspiring. Once I set the car into a turn it behaves as I expect with out having to compensate for the body flexing. I can really feel the suspension working. Should be a mandatory mod :-)

As long as the concrete isn't 28*, it should be fine.
