The numbers you quoted are a very small percentage of units sold
Wow, I'm surprised you have as many mods as you do if you only think that postitive feedback is worth considering if a significant percentage of owners of all units sold have written their praises on NAM.
I am content knowing that, as you note, the claimed advantages makes sense and that the ratio of happy owners to unsatisfied ones is 20:1. As an example, I've also been researching adding an engine dampener to my car, and despite the fact that many seem to keep buying them (and I may eventually) the ratio of happy owners to ones who say it's not worth the money is much less (especially if, as noted in this thread, all owners who praise the dampener are delusional and trying to justify the modification).

And having paid a total of $200 for a USS and an STB, if after installing both I'm not happy with them, I'm not going to pretend I love them -- I'll post them on NAM knowing I can get as much or more than I paid for ithem (as noted by others, there's a market for these, and even today people are posting WTBs for USS and STB), and get a CAI - self-delusion may justify a $35-75 purchase -- but if I spend hundreds, I'm going to be critical about whether I'm getting my money's worth.

Just a couple more thoughts.

I agree. There are a numebr of mods that I made and after a trial period, removed them from the car irrespective of what I spent on them. The additional stability created by the USS has increased my entry speed into a number of challenging corners (VIR) by 8-10 mph before I felt I was at the limit and the difference on the Dragon was truly astounding. You don't always need more HP to cut your lap times. Absolutely worth the $$.

Sounds like you got a great deal which should make your smile double wide as soon as you get it installed.

A follow up report:

I just installed the Volt exhaust system on my 04 MCS and experienced no interference with the USS.

I have now had the stock system, a Magnaflow, 2 M7 systems and now the Volt with no interference.

Since other NAMers have reported problems with a Magnaflow system, I am beginning to think this might be a car by car problem rather than a brand problem.

I guess I have just been lucky.

How do like the Volt? How does it compare to the Magnaflow?

Who's here in 2025? I just ordered a USS for my owned-from-new R50 (which is easily as fast as a stock R53). 😂 Reading through this thread has been like traveling back in time!
