if you are really hell-bent:
at the front of the car, measure from a fixed chassis point on each side (like the nut of the control arm bushing) to determine the front chassis centerline point. do the same at the rear. connect these points with a string line; that is the chassis centerline. then do your rear toe measurements equally from that centerline.

coilovers

Helix did a great job on the install of H Sport springs and H lower the control arms.Besides mathching the Hyper blue paint on my 05 S Cab.the ride is alot firmer. How much would coilovers help?Have already H sport rear sway bar and Stut bar.

ONE MORE THING I should add.... toe out eats up the inside part of your tires REALLY BADLY. Don't go toe out on the road unless you want to replace your tires twice as quickly .

toe in or out?

One degree out in the rear should improve handling and keep the rear tires running flat.

Don't have an exact date yet, but we are getting close to completion.

I was very impressed by the suspension this weekend as it survived a slight driving mistake on my part that allowed the Pilo Mini to become airborne. Though the car got some air, the landing was smmoth enough and more importantly, the car did not bottom out or even scrape the front fascia. I was happy that the car survived my mistake :-) Though thinking back, it was kind of fun :-D

I can't wait to install these on my MINI, every drive I keep finding more faults in my current set up that can probably be fixed with these

Any update Pilo?

We are about 2-3 weeks away. They ship this week, and arrive in about 2-3 weeks.

I am writing up the directions for every thing, and it should be in your hands, just before the new year.

It was needed because we had to make small changes. Hopefully every one will still be able to participate.

Spring Change, and longer bolts on the front camber plates to ease camber adjustment

Speaking of Camber adjustment, i don't think you ever got to answer that question. To adjust camber you just lift the front end and loosen those for allen bolts to adjust?? You don't have to loosen anything from the wheelwell right?

Had a friend asking me about this and wasn't 100% positive about the answer.

You will also need to loosen the 3 bolts on the top to lower the camber plate a bit. nothing needs to be adjusted from under the wheel well.

Well..... like i said TERRIBLE TIMING. If this was availible when it said it was going to be offered in Mid November i would have been the first to order and it would be going on my car now. But with it not being availible till Xmas time i'll need to drop out.

Shame because i REALLY want this kit but its not going to happen now.......

How does this setup feel? I really am curious in regards to this versus the h-sport/koni fsd setup. Will I still get the "back zap" going over a bump?

my coilovers are in!!!

Okay guys, my name is matt and this is my first ever post on a forum. Im not new to th site though,i do alot of research here. Well to get back to business, I got my pilo coilovers installed today at World One Performance here in seattle.
After the install the car looked great, except for one thing. After the coilovers were installed Jonathan and I realized there is no way to adjust the rear damper. Therefore we thought maybe we could just lift the car and do it, nope not possible. So Jonathan being the great guy he is started to call around, but no luck. Megan Racing said the rears were already preset to 14. So now Im stuck with that force until I can find out further information on how to change it.:impatient
Anyway regardless of not being able to change the rear dampening force the coilovers are really great. I drove in and around the roads of downtown Seattle, and there was no more loud road noise caused by the stock suspension. I have the front on the softest setting, I like them.

I will be giving out the info on how to adjust the rears, but I need to retake my measurements, because I can not find my original spec sheet. I will get this as soon as I can. Sorry for the delay.

Installed Scooby03's coilovers last weekend. The quality of the coilovers seems excellent. Only time will tell how they last. Shipping needs to be improved since most of the mounting tabs were bent on both mine and Brad's and had to be straightened. Front camber is not adjustable from the top unless you expand the large hole in the top of the towers. Rear stiffness adjustments need a hole drilled accurately above the top of the coilover into the passenger compartment, accessible behind the access doors. The supplied allen key adjustment tool is not long enough to reach the adjustment, but a longer t-handled wrench can be cut and the short one can be punched out of the **** and the longer one tapped in. Lack of real instructions or templates lengthens the install time. Also, watch out for mushroomed strut towers. Brad's required a 12mm difference in strut length. Once installed, the results are excellent.
