NM-Eng Rear sway links clunking like crazy

I've had the 25mm NM rear sway installed for over a year on the stock end links. Well last week there were popping noises from the rear so I took a look and the driver side rear link was broken.

I quickly placed an order for the NM rear sway bar links, got them in 2 days, and promptly installed them according to the instructions.

Everything was nice and quiet for around 4-5 days and now the rear is clunking like crazy. Any little bump, microscopic pebbles creating absolutely insane popping/clunking from the rear.

Has anyone else experienced this with the NM links? The endless clunking, literally hundreds of times over a 5-10 minute drive makes me hate my car at the moment.

I had the same thing and for me, it was actually the sway bar needed greasing on the bushing. I could have sworn it was the end link but once I greased the bushings everything stopped clunking

Guess I need to go and buy a grease gun to work with the fitting that come with the race bar.

What grease did you use?

I've had mine on for about a year, no noise from the links. I got some squeak when the weather cooled down, but hit the bushings with super lube and it's been quiet since.

Issue has been fixed. The driver side link to sway bar nut became loose enough that there was a couple millimeters of movement between the link and bar. Absolutely insane the amount of noise that was causing.

I tightened it up and it's been good so far.

Good to hear you found your issue and it was 'easy' too! As for grease on bushings, especially units that are driven on a daily kind of basis, I would suggest using a water resistant lube. I have been using the Sta-Lube marine grease (link below) for years in my Mustang's suspension and have never had a squeak from the poly units.

One should avoid petroleum based lube on poly bushings.
Teflon (PTFE) grease is best.

I found from experience that some loctite blue on the nuts keeps the rattles and clunks from re-appearing.

i have the noise for over 1year too, my mec. told me it was cause by the NM endlink as it has no any bushing /rubber in it, he said the only way to avoid it is to change back the OEM end link

but after many user review and report the same issue, i tried all the method but the noise still here.

today I heard from another mec guy, he said the NM 25mm swaybar has a design failure, the swaybar will hit to the chassis and that's the reason of the noise.
anyone heard about this problem ?

The previous bars without the bushing stops will allow the bar to slide in the bushing on turns.
Worse with the NM links as they have more movement.
