Was hoping we could get a confirmation on this. Cos if they were then I could just a set of Espelirs in my country for a lot less.

Thanks all.

If your buying them over there, I'd confirm with M7 that it is the same spring so you get the right spring rates. I saw that Espelir (spelled right this time) has what looked like three different rates on their site.

Espelir

I don't have much of an impression of them but from what i'm hearing from you guys - think i'll get a set here. Way cheaper than ordering from the US.

Thanks!

i've checked out the site.

They've got 1 set for the earlier Minis i.e. everything up till 02/02 production dates. Then they've got a set for Cooper Ss that lowers up to 25mm, then they have a set for the later coopers that lowers to 35mm.

So im guessing the M7 springs would be the 3rd set.

How do the springs behave at the limit? More understeer? More oversteer?

This might be same or cheaper depending on the shipping costs.

I've had Tein S-techs on my STi last time. Didn't quite like em. Made the car painfully stiff. Was ok back then, but now i don't think i can hack that kind of ride quality.

The tein S-techs are mainly for looks while tein has another set (i forget the name) that is meant for pure performance, but has less of a drop.

Is that pure performance with replacement struts or by themselves? I tend to believe that springs alone will show some improvement but not the optimal improvement one would find by using them with replacement struts.

On long sweeping turns, the car feels great on smooth roads. When the roads are kinda wavy or there are dips, I think the car could use more damping.
I'm still on all season runflats and have my rear swaybar on it's softest setting. Konis will be added when the time comes.

Thats just for springs...what i meant was that the s-tech were just made to lower it. The high-tech version also plays with spring rate to improve handling...granted springs dont help handling a ton...
