Problem after installing coil overs

Hey there,

I recently installed a set of coilovers on my 2004 MINI R50, giving me a 2" drop. Now I have a vibration in the gas pedal, only when I am accelerating and mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear. It almost feels like a misfire.

Has anyone had this problem, or a similar one? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Worn CV joints, by lowering the car you changed the angle of your axle shafts off off the spot where the joints seated in the housings.
Time for a pair of axles.Or raise the car!!

Look up cv joint bucket wear.

Most likely this is your problem. Not uncommon.

It is the CV joints, however you may not need to get new axils....
I have lowered my car also and had the same problem. I was told to just get the car re-aligned again. ( I have not done this yet so I do not no the result ) But my garage said that's what I could do to fix it.

Unless you're going to raise the car as part of the alignment an alignment will not fix the issue if the CV joint is the problem

And buy a few sets or axles while you're at it, as well as extra tires. A 2" drop is too aggressive.
