Anyone know the deal with the Forge coilovers? Any reviews, or... where are they designed / made? At this (tempting) price, I think I know the answer to that question... but...

You can do just the springs and since its so new you might not even need to change out the upper and lower spring pads (rubber pads). Run them for a while to left them to settle then get you car re-aligned. It will not damage the car or anything, you just need to watch out for junk on the road and things that might touch the front bumper like curbs and stuff since you are lowered.

Picture of the New AST Suspension Springs we carry.

So I had been eyeing the ST Suspension coilovers, and what do you know- 10% off for black friday at ECS =) Put my order in immediately. Plus a $50 gift card. Made in Germany by KW. So for basically half the price of the JCW Pro kit- I can live without stainless steel. Can't wait to get them in!

Let us know how you like the setup. I was looking at the KW V1 set when something shiny caught my eye. Maybe next year. Right now I'm still pretty happy with my sport suspension w/NM springs.

Finally got around to writing up something of a review of the STs. Put it in the thread I started, down there. Short version... very stiff, but on the other hand, very stiff. You get the good with the bad. Handles great. I'm happy with them, especially for the $800. Probably not for everyone though.

'15 MCS Auto

- NM Alpha Springs
- NM End Links
- NM Rear Sway Bar

The ride is DEFINITELY stiffer than I expected. I was wondering if I add coil-overs will it improve the ride quality at all? Anyone know? If so, does anyone have any experience with a specific brand?

Nice that you got it done... sorry to hear it's so stiff! First, you might want to check that the rear bar isn't binding. Check this video. You can easily add a washer to the rear D-bracket bolt without undoing anything else. It can make a noticeable difference.

I recently got KW Street Comfort coilovers. I don't know that they are less stiff than springs + OEM shocks. But really well-done ride. Good control, never hit the bump stops. I think they are probably very similar to the JCW Pro coilovers, but adjustable. They seem to have some kind of bypass that smooths out smaller bumps. I'll write more about it at some point... but hit me up with any questions.

Nice, got the equivalent on my R53. Fantastic suspension.

On another note, which Black tip exhaust setup do have?

Hey Everyone! Got an auto F56 JCW and am trying to compare lowering rates between lowering spring options. Looking for a more conservative drop than totally slammed. Anyone know how much either Eibach, H&R, or NM would drop for my setup? Feel like I can only find stats for MCS's.

I am very pleased with the JCW Pro coil-overs, and am down 15mm front and 10mm rear.

Details on this thread.

Highly recommended.

Cheers,

Charlie

Thanks! Unfortunately I'm trying to keep things cheaper. Would love coils but springs are the move for me for now!
