Torque arm bolts stuck

Looking for any advice on breaking the torque arm bolts. I'm sure there's 3 years of rust in there and I couldn't get them to move at all. Going to swing by the store and pick up a longer wrench tomorrow and try again.

Get some of this and soak it. IMO it works better then any other penetrate out there.

I'm partial to PB Blaster.

Don't bother with a longer wrench. You're more likely to round something off with a 12-pt wrench. Buy an 18" breaker bar and the appropriate 6-point socket. I feel like it's an 18mm but could be wrong. That bolt is in there tight.

Waiting for car to cool from my commute to put up on jack stands tonight. Just got a breaker bar but could only find 12 pt sockets in the right size (16mm). Going to try the one bolt out method instead of removing it completely from the car.

How long does the rust release stuff need to soak in? Should I just spray it down right before trying or give it an hour or two? Probably a dumb question since I didn't bother to read the label yet.

Start soaking it now...the longer the better....
Then if you need too, give it some heat from a blow-torch....the heat can help bust the rust....

Will do. Always love a reason to bust out the torch.

Just be very careful with the torch. You don't want to melt the rubber bushing inside the torque arm. That PB Blaster works wonders. Hit it a few times with the PB Blaster and let it soak. Then hopefully it'll come out with the breaker bar.

Found the WD40 stuff at local hardware store. Car up on stands and bolts soaking. Will see how it goes in an hour or two. Everything's still pretty warm under there...

Time and even temp change is your friend...
Helps the spray penetrate....
Imo , go and spray it a couple times before you try to remove it.

Done, appreciate all the help. Took about 45 minutes. After the WD40 soak the bolt removal was easy with an 18" breaker bar. Pushing that arm back in took most of the time. At least the holes lined up exactly on the first try!

What is also good to look for in these sprays is one you can invert upside down or on its side and it will still spray out lubricant. You would be surprised on a car how handy this can be!
