Installed H&R Sport Cup Kit on my R55

Installed the H&R Sport Cup Kit, rides good, not too firm and not too soft, and less crashy than the stock sport suspension. Now I just have to work out the dreaded vibration issue everyone fears.

good, not crashy, not overly firm. but the dampers are adjustable I haven't played with them yet. so we'll see what I can get out of them. I'm thinking with a rear sway bar and new non run-flats this will be a fun set up

Describe the vibration, maybe we can help? Is this the coil-over kit, or springs on the stock shocks?

The car sits nice.

Have fun,
Mike

it was a vibration in both fronts, but the left front is now gone while the right is still vibrating pretty good at lower rpms in every gear. keeping in my mind i haven't gotten an alignment yet because i'm going to get that done this week when I get new tires installed. And it's not coilovers, it's H&R springs with koni adjustable shocks(yellows). will update after alignment and new tires. also my right front tire(where most of the vibration is) does have a plug in it.

Alignment done, non-runflats installed. Vibration has reduced a good bit but it's still there.

does it happen all the way up to like 2000rpm? have you by any chance taken a look to see what angle the axles sit? i really want to get this kit because i feel like the touring cup just isn't low enough!! congrats on your new setup though ! did you have to get swaybar extensions too btw? I've heard somewhere that if you drop the car more than 40mm your are supposed too but i never seem to see anyone really talk about it

Vibration still there, I just took a look at everything. Nothing is loose, nothing looks worn out. CV boots are intact, but vibration is starting to show up even when I'm off throttle. This is getting frustrating. Anybody else that has had this issue solved would be of great help. I would really hate to go back to stock.

Ive had a vibration between 55 and 70 in the right front, with stock springs and the TSW springs. Still there, but I only notice it on smooth roads. Mine is speed related, not RPM related.

What other mods do you have on the car besides the springs/shocks? Engine mount stiffener? I assume that you would have seen any rubbing in the inner fender (I had this in the RR, had to safety wire it away from the tire), but you may want to check anyway.

Is the vibration in neutral as well, or just at speed at a certain RPM? If you have the vibe at 2500 in 2nd gear, does it go away when you shift to third? And reappear when you get to 2500 in 3rd? I would think that a bad wheel bearing, or drive shaft/CV, would have a vehicle speed related vibration, not engine speed related.

The vibe was non-existant before the springs/shocks? Stock upper shock mounts?

Sorry for the verbal puke, just trying to get my head in it.

Mike
