Adjustability of stock suspension?

How adjustable is the stock suspension for dailing in camber, caster, and toe?

It looks like -1.5 camber all the way around, 0 toe and maxed caster is the norm. Will I be able to get there with what I got.

Any tips or suggestions would be helpful as I want to get a proper alingment done before I start messing with everything.

Cheers

Rear camber has a little adjustment...if you're at stock ride height -1.5 rear should be doable.

Front camber is not adjustable. There is a pin that you can remove to get another 0.5 degrees up front but i think you'll max out around 0.9. Do a search for the "free camber mod."

Toe is adjustable front and rear and 0 toe isn't a problem.

Thanks for the tip, gonna have a search for it now. So if I want more then -.9 camber I'll need some camber plates huh?

yup. I like the ireland engineering fixed plates on my 1st gen...still rubber for a smoother ride. You should end up around -1.7 up front with them (not 100% sure for a 2nd gen). Adjustable plates do the job if you want lots of camber but most will be a little harsher than stock.

Actually, the R56 front camber is adjustable to only about -0.6 deg (had it measured). Here is a good link:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ustment-2.html
See post 44

IE fix plate is "advertised" to give -1.2 on the R56. That, plus the -0.3 the factory allows for -1.5. My '07 was measured at -1.6 with the IE plates...And they are fantastic on the Gen 2s. Only a slight change in ride quality.

I got -1.4 degrees (max) in front with pins removed, IE fixed plates, stock Justa springs and Bilstein HDs. I assume with an "S" with lower ride height or otherwise shorter springs, you should be able to get a little more negative due to lower ride height. With the alignment in my sig, I have 15K miles on my tires and have perfectly even wear, rotating every 3K miles.

That plastic pin trick looks nice and easy, but does it really move you out of the d-stock class? I was planning on doing a event or two based around that class before I go all out on suspension.

Resurrecting an old thread here... Is this a safe and permanent modification that can be done? Will there be any appreciable gain in handling for autocross?

It's totally safe and 100% reversible, you'll just have to get another set of those plastic pins. I posted more info on the other thread on handling benefits for ya.
