Engine Light On

I guess it's not relevant to the spring. My engine light was on after driving for 3 months. I had it fixed at dealer with change of thermostat.

By the way, I want to install lowering spring too. Can you tell me which model you installed? Only the spring or with camber and shocks?

I doubt it has anything to do with the springs. Go get the codes scanned and that would be a fast way to find out what's wrong.

Strictly yes, but this issue can vary from dealer to dealer...depends how they feel about it.

Lots of folk do and have with no concerns..

You can get it scanned at Advanced Auto Parts or something for free.

Can i just go to the dealerahip but do not mention that i change the springs. Since the springs should not be relevant to the engine right?

Yes, you can probably safely take it to the dealership. I find it hard to believe springs would have anything to do with the CEL. As for the warranty, as I understand the dealership has to prove that the modification caused the error to void a warranty repair. For example, if you put on a new sway bar and your fuel pump fails, they would be hard pressed to say your mod caused the error.

Once you get into tuning the ECU and so forth, things get murky and more risky.

I installed the H&R sport springs .. no engine light, n none of the guys mention they faced a prob with it .. i am facing 1 issue only, after shifting from 1st gear to second, once i start accelerating in 2nd i face shaking like something is not fitted properly .. i installed the springs at the dealer, n i told them whats the prob n they have checked everything, they couldnt find anything at all n the shaking is still in 2nd gear with normal acceleration .. if i floor it it doesnt show at all n only appeared after installation of the springs .. im living with it .. if anyone knows this issue pls help.
btw, i dont think springs is the reason of engine light as per my knowledge .. good luck mate
