Did you experience an increase in suspension height with the installation ireland plates? If so, how much?

Thanks in advance,
Marcus

I installed FSDs at the same time and my front did raise a bit (didn't measure, but I don't bottom out in two spots I used to).

Given this is a DD and I hate rubbing the ground, I am OK with it. As a matter of fact, I am happy. I wish I could give you an accurate idea, but my guess it it is the thickness of the device (maybe 5/16th...just from memory)

I think there is a slight raising with the fixed plates. I installed mine with a set of springs, and i ended up about 5-10mm higher than it would have been without the plates. Definitely worth it though and I knew it would happen going into it. Car looks good and drives great.

Thanks for the responses.

So is a 5/8"-3/4" gain is uncommon with IE plates?

3/4 inch sounds really high, i don't think it was even close to that for me. Maybe 10mm, but i don't have exact measurements.

I've never had camber plates but here is my understanding: please correct me if I'm wrong. Let's say you install a very mild-drop spring like the Tein H-Techs which drop the car 16mm in the front. Assuming the thickness of the camber plates is 6 to 7 mm (guess here), shouldn't you still get an overall height reduction of 16 - 7 = 9mm?

Yes, but if, like me, he does not install drop springs, it goes up.

I wouldn't mind my car lower, but bottoming out pisses me off so much that I never could consider it. No matter how slow I went there was nothing I could do to stop scraping at my buddies driveway and at the bottom of a hill I go to (funny it is the same guys street). I tried angles and speeds...nothing worked. Once I put in the plates, I have never scrapped anywhere since.

if it raised mine at all, i didnt notice.

also, do lowering springs affect the camber up front? i want to get on some springs and i have the IE fixed plates allready, right now im chillin at -1.8* up front, and wouldnt want too much more camber than that.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am trying to eliminate an issue I am having with my suspension after installing some IE plates and various other pieces.

Keep the input coming!

Tested the plates and looks like they add 1/4" to the total ride height.

I've measured the stock strut mount compared to the IE fixed camber plate and I can tell you for sure the IE camber plate is right at 3/8 inch taller than the stock so that is going to raise the front of the car.
