Springs: NM or H&R ?

They are about the same price and about the same drop...

I use to own a slammed VW so either way it's not that low, but I think I could use the 0.2'' extra drop of the H&R.. but I don't know about the ride of either choice

What do you guys think?

Has NM released the spring rates on their springs?

cannot compare to the NM springs, but i have had the H&Rs on for now for over 15k. Ride is not to bad. It helps to ditch the run flats. I am saving up for coilovers next though

Are you guys happy of the ride with the H&R compare to the stock springs?

I heard amazing comments about ride quality of the NM but people with H&R seems to be more quiet about it..!

I did a lot of reading on this subject and ended up going with the NM Engineering springs. The thing that tipped the scales was a conversation with Way Motor Works where they indicated that they had some complaints about the H&R springs.

I can't remember all the details, but maybe they will chime in here.

I would say i do not no any different. I am happy with the H&Rs. The car looks much better then the stock sport setup i had. I was not to concerned with the ride since I was more concerned about my car not looking like a 4x4 haha

I would say if you are concerned about the ride that maybe the NM springs may be the way to go since they are not as low as the H&Rs. My purchase of them was a hold over until i could afford coilovers.

Yeah they are stiffer than stock. I fully expected that. I did bend a rim on a pothole last winter... I would bet if it wasnt lowered it wouldnt have happened, but whoknows.

It is noticeably stiffer than all the stock loaners ive gotten from time to time, which kind of helps to remind you lol.

One thing mine does is when accelerating in second gear it sort of has a little shudder and vibration... Supposedly from the difference in axle geometry... technically this could happen with many lowering springs, and from what ive seen only affects certain cars..hit or miss. Mine still does it after well over 20K miles... never "wore in".

I got some NM springs on the way from Way along with rear control arms or camber links so I'll let you know by the end of this weekend how it rides.

I decided to give a try on the NM..

Haven't see any bad comment about NM but a few about the H&R. The thing that scared me is that I saw a couple pics where the front and back didn't look even at all with the H&R springs.. I guess 0.2'' won't be a huge difference on the look neither!

I'll post pics/comment soon enough!
