Comparing rear strut braces... The best????
Hi Folks, I was looking for rear strut brace, which I think it will help me in the handling. I found only two in the market, but which one is the best?? . There are M7 Rear Chassis Brace and CARBON FIBER REAR STRUT BRACE. So Folks have you installed one of these? please recomend one to me..also if you can tell me why?
Thanks from now.

It helps to keep more tire surface on the road during cornering and will give you more feedback from the steering.
I have them, IE fixed camber plates, on my current car and the difference between before and after is quite noticeable.
It is also a great way to prevent the dreaded 'mushrooming' that so many of us are getting from bad roads.
The rear bar is also a very good idea.
Hope this helps...

Both of them merely bolt to a location that is flexible. The extensions that are spot welded to the body that have the seat back clips moves. All these will di is have them move in harmony.
DDM made one that does work but I think they stopped making them. Theirs is a solid unit that also ties in to the floor liek the M7 one. The difference is that the DDM is a solid one piece unit and the M7 is assembled with nuts and bolts from rectangular stock. Each one of those bolt locations is prone to flex, it's just the nature of the beast.

The best rear strut brace would have some form of triangulation and not go straight across from tower to tower. Something that went from the attachment points that everyone seems to use, but then forms an "X" with the base of the opposite tower would be most beneficial. Also the most in the way when doing anything other than racing.
But I have not seen any made this way.
Some of the weld-in roll cages use traigulation to further stiffen the rear end of the car.

Give Dave @DDM a call. He can elaborate on availability.
Here's a couple o' pics.

I don't have any from the front, but it used bolts and spacers that attach to the seat latch plate on each side.

The Cusco carbon fiber one also does nothing except get in the way any time you try to use the trunk for anything bigger than a pair of gloves.
Don't waste your money on a rear back-of-seat brace. There are lots of products that actually improve handling, but those you mentioned are not among them.

Start by stiffening the front end of the car, and add front camber plates. There are three braces for the front end that make a noticeable difference, and one that's a might-as-well.
The three that help are the OEM Cabrio diagonal braces, the lower strut brace from OMP or Mini-Madness, and the lower mid-brace from GTT. The why-not is a straight-line strut-top brace (which does not describe most products - try IE's version).
After all that, your JCW suspension will have something rigid to attach to, and will function quite well. Forget the rear braces - they are snake-oil.
