The cross bar is aluminum and looks different because I inverted the bar on my install (I do not like advertising on my car).

The whole assembly is very light (under 6 lbs).
Thanks for the info.

You did a great job in the engine bay.

Just saw this, I like it because it looks like the only one that will fit w/ aftermarket CAI's ..here's my question,
I have the DDM street intake (w/o the ram intake scoop and top housing). ...will this rub on the DDM street intake (as it does w/ the DDM ram intake)??

I have the Ram intake and it doesn't rub on mine at all.

Thanks,

I just have the street intake ..so I should be good. I like the price. is it pretty easy to install? -just unbolt the 3 nuts/bolts from each side, slide the bar and end plates on and re-bolt. Nothing other to adjust? -correct??

Correct - just torque as per manual (25 ft lbs I think).

have you noticed an improvement w/ this mod? ...sorry to ask so many questions ..I am on the fence as to whether I want to install a set of water and boost guages, BOV, or this strut? ..3 choices! -trying to determine which is the best mod (for my next mod).

opinions welcome!

I purchased the GT Spec Front Strut Brace not too long ago. I had the Racing Dynamics unit, but when I put in the K&N Typhoon, the two wouldn't work together. Upon putting in the GT Spec, I had issues with the K&N inlet pipe rubbing with the strut brace. I have been running the bar with hot water heater insulation duct taped on the bar until I found this post. I turned the bar over in the mounts and it gave me the clearance so there is no metal to metal contact anymore.

I've ordered the GT Spec FSB as well. I have a DOC CAI. Will post if everything clears well.

Will it fit a 2011 Base? I think it will be hard to unload the item if it doesn't fit. :D

There is about 2 mm of clearance . The bar is definitely not touching the box, even when I wiggle it hard. I wrapped the bar with some silicone self-fusing tape just as a precaution.

Does anyone know if this brace will clear the JCW Stage 1 airbox?

Fits with a typhoon; I didn't have any rubbing anywhere. Easiest install yet. Way- thanks, as always, for the ridiculously fast shipping.
