Attention M7 Vendors - Can we get a Mushroom prevention strut plate group buy?

Hey M7....

I've done a lot of searching and mushrooming is a common and horific problem plaquing our beloved Minis. So, if you could get a group buy together for your strut tower reinforcement plates...I'm sure you will get a lot of business.

Sign me up....anyone else with me?

Thanks
Drive Safe!

Update....can one of their vendors get on this I would think that the first vendor to sign up would gain a lot of business.

I want the R53 plates! When I created this thread the Mods moved this thread from general to r56 suspension. I have a r53. However, any m7 plate or strut bar group buy would be greatly appreciated.

List.

Please contact one of our dealers, as we don't do group buys.
Good Luck....

Group buy sounds nice to me. I'm in.

How about you get a list started in your first post brigadoonb?

There is not a single reported case of mushrooming on the R56. All the problems you are reading about that are "plaguing our beloved Minis" are actually plaguing the R50 and R53, not the R56.

Just FYI.

Count me in, if I can stand to wait until this thread matures. I'm planning to buy a set soon.

You might talk to a NAM vendor of M7 products... Call Brad at The Custom MINI Shop. Great service and great prices!

Are you guys talking about getting a front strut tower brace to prevent mushrooming or increase rigidity? or both? I have not read much about the front brace helping with handling.

We should have both the strut tower reinforcement plates and the strut tower brace in stock by mid october . If we can move the delivery up at all we will . There have been lengthy discussions both for and against the effectiveness of strut tower braces . My personal feeling is that the more you mod your car, sticky tires, improved suspension etc. and the harder you drive it the more a brace will be of value.

The brace looks sweet. There are some braces out there with hinges on both side, that basically do nothing but add bling. I'm interest if a GB is formed.
