Ok guys so next question on coil pack. Any idea if the plugs need to be gapped if you install it?

Hmmmm, I just read some info on the MSD coilpack. It puts out 36,000 volts and the OEM coilpack puts out 36,000 volts under a heavy load. So how does going to a MSD help? The Screamin Deamon Ignition CoilPack puts out 40,000 volts under a heavy load.... So they say.

Maybe the red color adds a few hp's? I really wanted to put one on the car, but $70.00 just to change color is a little to $$$

Botom line, id rather buy MSD versus a no name brand "Screamin Deamon" coil

Id like to see the specs from a SD coil, but, none of the sites have anything besides holtage listed. voltage isnt the only important part.

This is just a guess. Maybe the MSD puts out a continous 36,000 volts while the OEM only puts out 36,000 volts under a heavy load. Just a thought...anybody else???

Well, id assume you have a Tube style coil as in most older cars thats either oil or epoxy filled.

it does the same basic job, just in a different form.

I owuld really like to see the data from a SD coil if anyone has the info ont hem....
