Software version v43?

Anyonee been flash with v43 yet? v42 did not take care of our check engine light issue. They claim now that v43 will cure that on a poorly shifting transmission. Still no cure for cold start issues.

Unfortunately, when they change over to the turbo cars, they will no longer try to revise the software in the older cars and we'll all be stuck with the cold start problems and all the other problems that other people are having!! :(

Software Update

After my last update, the engine really "clunks" when the fuel resumes as it is coasting down to a stop. Is that everyone else's experience? I'd never noticed it before, but it is now QUITE abrupt!

I don't have a problem with it clunking or anything, my problem is as if the engine almost 'shuts off' when you let off the gas when you are slowing down. I usually have the clutch in by the time I am close to stopping, so I never really feel the engine resume running from a coast. I'll have to give that a try and see if I feel anything.

mine did this from day one using pre v34... you just need to clutch-in by
1500rpm coming to a stop, or at least half-clutch.

Aside from the 3-4 second hiccup upon engine startup in the morning, my '05 MCS 6MT has been running like a champ. Sometimes the cold engine idle hiccup is not as eveident as other days but I can live with it. I am not going to jump into any software revisions that may create problems I don't currently have.
