Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
I have a 2009 Clubman S that has been giving me fits to correct an intermittent stalling problem (Original problem). This is after pulling and reinstalling the engine, so I’m hunting for things I might not have reconnected. I noticed on the intake manifold that there is a port that is not hooked up (yellow arrow in pic). This isn’t coolant, as there is no leaking. is this a vauum port that I haven’t hooked up? I cannot find any hoses that are not connected, and I can’t find the connections on realoem.
Rats, looks like I’ll have to check the intake manifold more carefully. I was getting MAF implausibility codes which might make sense if there was a crack in the intake.
The weird thing is how this seems to only occur when the engine has run and been stressed. I can sit and idle for half an hour with no problem, but if I take out and drive it for 20’ and come home it will not restart and run. Instead, it bogs and stalls after starting, even when adding more throttle.
