Mystery port on intake

I have a 2009 Clubman S that has been giving me fits to correct an intermittent stalling problem (Original problem). This is after pulling and reinstalling the engine, so I’m hunting for things I might not have reconnected. I noticed on the intake manifold that there is a port that is not hooked up (yellow arrow in pic). This isn’t coolant, as there is no leaking. is this a vauum port that I haven’t hooked up? I cannot find any hoses that are not connected, and I can’t find the connections on realoem.

This question comes up every now and then... That is a blind port that is not used on US vehicles. That port is only used in other markets.

I am going through your other thread now...

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, I was hoping this would solve my other issues, but I guess I can rule this out now.

Yep,

I have seen the factory intake manifold get hairline cracks at the seam near the throttle body connection.

Rats, looks like I’ll have to check the intake manifold more carefully. I was getting MAF implausibility codes which might make sense if there was a crack in the intake.

The weird thing is how this seems to only occur when the engine has run and been stressed. I can sit and idle for half an hour with no problem, but if I take out and drive it for 20’ and come home it will not restart and run. Instead, it bogs and stalls after starting, even when adding more throttle.

Sounds to me like a heat related issue....
