I picked up an automatic 2013 MCS about a month and a half ago. It only has 60k miles and the oil was changed before I got it. I haven't driven more than 2000k miles since then, and the dipstick looks fine. Whenever I turn quickly, such as when I turn at a red light in sport mode, or whenever I brake quickly, such as when a light turns red quicker than I thought, the car flashes an oil warning. It doesn't give me a warning any other time, so I'm suspecting that this is an issue related to the oil pan, an oil pick-up, or a sensor in the pan, but I can't find much info on this. Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything that I should check?

 

The R56 oil dip stick is notoriously hard to read and there are plenty of cars out there that will burn all their oil in 2000 miles. So before looking at anything else, make sure there is indeed enough oil in it.

 

On both the R56 cars I had, I filed the dipstick so there was a flat edge along it. Made it much easier to read. I saw how to do it here on NAM somewhere.
