Oil light blinks on when Braking (sometimes)

2013 R56 base model with man trans, 80K miles. Red low oil light blinks on when braking occasionally (1 out of 50 times). Just momentary on then goes away. No noticeable performance problems only light issue. ODB scan shows code 2F53. Oil level is full plus 1/4 qt. Any ideas?

What is 2F53?

Bad oil pressure warning switch (its right next to the vacuum pump, easy as hell to change)? or failing oil pump.

Get an oil pressure gauge my brother. These cars need one if any ever did.

See my post on Aeroforce Interceptor OBD scanner and gauge: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...scan-tool.html

2F53 code

The 2F53 code reads "Engine OIL Pressure Static". All this is telling me is the voltage on the oil pressure sender dropped for a moment which was noted by the illuminated light. This started after having an oil change, so maybe they hit a wire.

Ya the filter housing is buried in wires and hoses. Worst location for an oil filter I've seen yet.

The switch unit might cheap to change.
