Engine misfires at 4500 rpm >90 mph

I have a 2013 Cooper S, i’ve noticed that when accellerating the engine misfires around 4500 rpm when accellerating passed 90 in 5th gear. Idle is fine, no shaking, just a small hesatation or two. No code or check engine light. I’m not in sport mode.
Any suggestion on what could cause this.

Thanks

Check the pressure of your fuel pump using an OBD reader and post the values here.
This is the first thing I can think.

**UPDATE** Ok the anomaly “ONLY” happens at 4500 and 4800 rpms in all gears, sport and non-sport. It’s just a small hesitation, almost like a quick drop of 50 rpms but powers through it. It happens when under aggressive acceleration and not at normal acceleration

it’s called superknocking. you can search it on forums. There are many people with that problem (including me) and all have different solutions (or no solutions at all).

i say start with the oil that has highest possible flash point for 5w-30.

-after seeing your update, it looks more like a hpfp. it might nort be superknock. you have to check your error codes with bmw code scanner. if there aren’t any codes stored, it must be hpfp related.

Since you're a 2013, you should have the bosch hpfp vs the known to fail continental. How old are your plugs?

***UPDATE*** problem got much worse, but finally got it to throw a code...off to the shop. I’ll update what they found out.
I don’t know how old the plugs are, I just recently purchased it.
