Cylinder 4 exhaust valve leak

I’m planning of replacing the exhaust valve of my 05 MCS myself due to budget issues. Any tips, thoughts, comments? Thanks.

Would think that if you have everything off, you replace all of them including the guides.

Problem is I have 0 experience on these kinds of tasks. Oil change, spark plugs, thermostat change I have successfully done in the past but not exhaust valves. I’m so intimidated right now. I can’t even find any YouTube videos specific to my car/engine for me to use as a guide. I’m having a headache rt now 😩

I used to be like you if not most or all of us...I never thought to buy an engine hoist let alone do a full rebuild.

Valves, seats and valve springs are all similar. Modmini had videos on how to remove the head so after that follow the other videos.

Pulling the head on a car isn't bad, but you may have to buy (or rent) some specialty tools.

Take your time and don't shortcut. Have plenty of rags and buckets ready for fluids.
