There is no combustion!!!!

Help!!!

My Car will not start. It wants to and when I push the start button it does try like 15 times, but never turns over. It’s like it’s not getting a spark, or air, or fuel! before the complete shutdown, the car world start but would take a few tries. Once it turned over the car ran normal. It won’t do anything now...

So far:
Battery and starter came back ok when I had it checked at auto zone
New spark plugs were installed
Hooked up a BlueTooth OBD2 and I’m not getting any errors

A little history:
i noticed the car getting wet on the passenger side. Originally thought it was the windshield leaking at the seam but turned out to be the sunroof drain came loose. I did have to do some flood damage control on the floor. Oddly and may coincidental but after I cleared up the water, when I went to start the car, the back doors would fly open. Every time the start button was pressed. I took them apart, put them together, nothing since.
Fast forward a week and I am where I am in the beginning. Car won’t start. I posted a video on Facebook... here it is:

Facebook Post

i can try and upload to YouTube if the link does not work.

THOUGHTS????

Year, s or non s, mileage, your location.

With water getting into the passenger side, i suspect the fuse box is out of commission.

But, spray quick start and see if that at least starts it.

Yes all 4. Take the fuse box out or remoe the connectors and use a hair dryer to dry it out.

Anyone know if yhrrr is a specific fuse in the passenger side door that could cause such a thing? I can certainly try to blow dry it.

Your best bet is to check each fuse with a tester.

Checked all the normal size ones... going to go through the mini ones next and then I’ll have to figure out how to test the bigger ones...

nothing sticks out like “plugs”, “coils” etc

jbe probably fired. CHeck the bottom left connector (pin 3, solid red wire) for ground while cranking, if you dont have it; its replace the fuse box and reprogram time.

@Minimonsta22 -- So here is where I am at... Spoke to Mini - they gave me all kinds of ideas, but recommended Insurance claim due to potential water damage...

Turns out the car needs a new Junction Box/DME/ Fuse Box. They want 2K for that, another 1K for headliner and carpet pull, clean, dry, etc...

Insurance is going to deny the "water damage" claim due to this being a mechanical failure of the Sunroof drain plug! They said since I was able to determine the water was coming from the plug that came loose that They would deny the claim and that it should fall under Mini or wear and tear.

So here I am stuck now with a car that doesn't run and a 3K bill... I have been trolling all over the forums about sunroof leaky water issues... Anyone have any advice for me.. Will be talking to Mini and my Insurance Supervisor/Manager. I need something other than -- it's coming out of my pocket!!!

Any thoughts?

the JBE is easy to replace and for the most part it is plug and play. find one with a similar part number on ebay or car-part.com

to get technical, you need ISTA/P to program and code the box. but it should work as is.

SO is there not a “marrying” process for this? Or is that the ISTA/P

Marrying is preferred...you dont want the modules living in sin...lol but in general, it will function just fine. Again, it has to match the part number or be from a similarly optioned car.
