Engine skip
Engine skip
I have a 2006 cooper s that has a skip when I throttle it hard. I have replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter and (Detroit Tuned) bypass valve. All of this needed to be done anyways but did not solve the problem. It does it when I give it a quick deep throttle. If I throttle up easy it won't do it. I also cleaned out the throttle body when I replaced the bypass valve. Any suggestions?
I have 131k miles on the car and I'm going to guess it's the original coil because I'm the second owner. The electrodes are clean because I changed the wires. It sounds like the consensus is the coil, I'm going to try that. Thanks everyone!!!!
A quick update for all of you who replied to my problem. My new MSD coil came in today and I pop that right in and took her for a test drive and she's running great!!!!! Thanks everyone!!
