Engine skip

I have a 2006 cooper s that has a skip when I throttle it hard. I have replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter and (Detroit Tuned) bypass valve. All of this needed to be done anyways but did not solve the problem. It does it when I give it a quick deep throttle. If I throttle up easy it won't do it. I also cleaned out the throttle body when I replaced the bypass valve. Any suggestions?

Going to move you back to the Gen1 area, Stock Problems/Issues. Did you change the coil pack when you did the plugs/wires?

No codes correct?

On my R53, got a skip and changed the coil pack. Solved the issue. How many miles on the car? Original coil? Coil electrodes rusty?

Second the coil pack. They are known to cause issues once they get older.

I have 131k miles on the car and I'm going to guess it's the original coil because I'm the second owner. The electrodes are clean because I changed the wires. It sounds like the consensus is the coil, I'm going to try that. Thanks everyone!!!!
