Nope, it did not. The new seal seems to be an all around higher quality piece.
Thanks for confirming. That is consistent with fullmoonguru's observation. That is why so many PTO gears died of premature death. BMW and Eaton really screwed this one up.

Yeah the original seal is not of the typical design for oil seals. I keep thinking their must be some reason they went with that particular design but really can't think of what that would be.
Please share the new seal part number and where to find it!
I would share the link but it appears I may have gotten the last of them. The Amazon listing says out of stock with no time frame. I still have two though, since it came in a pack of 3. Should anyone need one, I’ll keep them around.
With all indications this seal from National 471466v is a cross compatible. The slight dimensional difference is likely due to metric-imperial-metric-imperial... rounding error to the power of 10. It is spring loaded lip.
Actually if you look at the shaft size and housing bore, it is exact in mm.
