passenger door lock actuator

The passenger door lock actuator on my car was able to lock the door, but unable to unlock it. I went ahead and replaced it with a new one.

I have read that some people have repaired these, but I really don't have the time or the patience to take that on.

Before I throw my old one away, does anyone want it?

My door lock just started doing the same thing. How much is a new one? How easy is it to repair or to replace? Thanks

$130. I got mine here:

http://www.waymotorworks.com/oem-door-actuator.html

It's not hard, but it's a pain to do. Lots of working in tight spaces. I followed an online how-to guide.

Thanks, the passenger side is the easy one as it doesn't have the door lock cylinder.

That's good to know. I will now say a quiet prayer that I don't have to tackle the driver's door in the future.

This is the one I used, but I actually read about 3 or 4 of them before proceeding.
