Stock Problems/IssuesDiscussions related to warranty related issues and repairs, or other problems with the OEM parts and software for MINI Clubman (R55), Cooper and Cooper S(R56), and Cabrio (R57).
thank you, you guys have it the cheapest, but i dont need the entire hose, if i cant find just the two hoses that connect to the Y i will order it from you guys.
MINI has universal cable hose, but it cost more then that whole piece, and there is no part for just that section. I guess the plus is you ensure no other leaks in the Y line current and down the road.
If all you need is the hose and not the connectors, you can buy bulk hose at any auto parts store. Take a piece of the old hose with you to make sure you get the right size. Common hose connectors ( tees, elbows, etc.) are also available.
You don't even need to replace the angle piece. I just pulled the broken 90 degree angle piece off (it's a press fit) and connected the hose straight into the nipple on the bottom of the squirter. In my case, I had a roll of new hose in the garage, so I replaced the entire segment of hose. Just use a little Windex to lube the hose and nipple and work it on carefully so you don't break the nipples. Replacing the hose is a good idea because the hose on our 2012 Cooper was gooked up inside with some black stuff. One nozzle was gooked up so used a safety pin to clear it out and aim it... and now it's working perfectly!
