MPH warning beep?????????

Hello I have a2012 MCS with a little over 4500 miles on it, I was on a long straight stretch of rural highway, so I decided to see what my $29000.00 got me,[[I dont drive my car hard, I never punch the gas] so I gave it some gas at a moderate rate and it picked up just fine, then when I got to XXXXX I heard an audible high pitch beep/alarm sound! I dont know what it was, has anybody experiened this?????? It was a long high pitch beep, I let off the gas right away and it stopped. Any Ideas

Was the "audible high pitch beep/alarm sound" accompanied by flashing blue lights behind you?

Right! None of us here have heard this because we NEVER drive over the speed limit.

There is a modifiable alarm for speed. You can set it to whatever speed you'd like. I think it is a two tone alarm, similar to the sound the car makes if you drive without the seatbelt on.

My wife has an 07 MCC with navigation. Speed alarm can be set there. Don't know details.
