Separating P.S. fan and Radiator fan circuit
Separating P.S. fan and Radiator fan circuit
If you did not have the dealer separate the circuits for the cooling fans, is there a way to do it yourself?
Has anyone done this mod?
Does anyone have any suggestions about doing this?
Thanks,
Brad

Thanks for the responces, I was able to find the TSB online.
After reading that and thinking about it, I was wondering what would be the downside of adding an inline 5 amp fuse to the power steering circuit? If the fan sticks or goes out it will blow that fuse and still allow power to go to the cooling fan.
Ant body have any thoughts, good or bad?
Thanks,
Brad

Separating P.S. fan & Radiator fan circuit
If you separate out the line to the P.S. fan and use an in-line fuse, I'd say the only down side would be that you'll have a fuse in a separate place to keep track of. Not a very significant problem in my mind. Just be sure to separate the circuits so each fan has it's own power source.
separating p.s. and radiator fan circuits
You're welcome. Lemme know how it goes. I was thinking it would be a good idea to do too.
