Optima Battery Rebate

I was tooling around the web and I came across this coupon on the Optima battery site for a $25 rebate off any new Optima battery. I have a 34r in Artoo (2003 S) and love it. If your battery is three years old or more, this may be a good time to change the battery before it becomes absolutely necessary and you have to do something in haste.

Optima Battery $25 Rebate Coupon

This deal expires 9/15 so you have time to think. That said you won't be sorry if you upgrade to an Optima.

Probably just the clock. Thats all that I had to do when my battery went flat.

I believe clock is it, not even radio stations change. And just an FYI, the 34R only fits the R53. It WILL NOT fit in the N/A R50 Cooper. I've found that out already.

I got mine from AutoBarn

It was the cheapest I could find at the time. It looks like it is now $169.95 with free shipping. Factor in the rebate and it's a great deal for a battery that exceed the OEM both in capacity and technology.

I just bought a red top at costco and it was $130 and they printed out the rebate for me. The terminals are on the wrong side in my R50 but I figure I can have the positive lead extended a little at a shop. Other than that it fit pretty well in my battery box. The yellow top was a little more though.

I saw in today's Sunday flier that Pep Boys has the Red Top for $124.98 (reg $159.99) and a $25 rebate that brings it to $99. I had a friend special order a 34r from the one here in Parsippany recently (he paid the $159.99 regular price and got a rebate from Optima) and it looks like you could get one for $99 that way as a direct replacement for the MCS battery.

The 34r is higher capacity and better technology than the OEM battery so with winter coming up if your battery is 3-4 years old, this might be the time to make the change and save yourself a headache when the cold weather comes.

No they don't. Fact is that although most places stock the 34/35 they do not stock the reverse post, 34r. But they can order it and it should be the same price as the 34/35.

ok....the nearest one is 45 min away, so obviously it would be nice to pop in to get it. Summit has it for $169, but the Pep Boys deal is much better
