Water Leaks

I've got water coming into the cabin from the rear of both doors. I took it to the dealer for service twice, discussed it with the MA and lead mechanic twice more and its going in again this week. With a hard rain I can get 1/2+ inch of water in the rear foot wells. And all the door drains are clear. Any idea's?

Couple of places to check

Check the alignment of your hatch - early reports of misaligned hatches causing water to rain into the rear of the MINI.

Also check your sunroof seal (if you have one). You'll know if you need a new seal if your sunroof exhibits a lot of wind noise at highway speeds.

Let us know what you find out and good luck!

thanks for the advise. BUTTTT its coming out of the door from between the
door inner shell and the interior door cover. The door seals have been replaced and the door glass adjusted.

Not sure I understand the term 'foot well' - is that the painted sill under the door? Is the water soaking the carpet? FWIW, I find it annoying how much water accumulates on the 'sills' when I wash the car. There are threads about the seals under the doors that are no longer being installed by the factory on the R56s (my week 34 build does not have them). But I also read those seals do not seem to help keep out the water.

my car was getting a lot of water in the rear footwells, and it ended up being an ac drain seal in the engine compartment. My car was always parked on a slight incline, so the water would end up in the rear. Check you from floormats and carpet for water.

I know this thread is several months old but did you ever figure out the problem? I just found my passenger side rear foot well carpet soaked. It had been through a couple hard rain falls last week. So just curious if the cause was found on yours by now.

No I wasn't aware of an update. Next month is my first 1 year maintenance servicing, so if this is a possibility then I will be sure to ask them about it.
