Manual Transmission Oil Leakage

With only 2,500 miles on it my R56-S developed a manual transmission oil leakage, took it to the dealer and the diagnosis is, a faulty seal on the power shaft. Will like to know if someone else have seen this happen to an '07.
Tks.

I had what was originally thought to be a tranny leak on my three week old 07 MCS 6spd, but it turned out to be the rear main seal.

I had the oil changed today at 1800 miles and noticed that gear oil appears to be leaking around the axle or drive shaft.

Same thing is happening on my r53 right now. Its a very very small leak and the dealer told me that I could get it fixed right before warrantee ends, since it will most probably happend again.

To be honest I'm not sure, but there was a shaft coming out of the passenger side of the transmission, and the oil appeared to be leaking around that shaft.

FYI I couldn't follow your link.

that'd be the passenger side drive/axle shaft. not a huge deal, but none of the seals should be failing when it's brand new, probably got nicked on assembly.
