Wing mirror vibrates at speed (85+ MPH)

I notice that the driver's side wing mirror vibrates at high speeds (say 80-85+ MPH).

Anybody else see this? The mirror doesn't seem very well attached to the little pylon.

I bet I know where Mozzerella is going with this!

But to answer the question, yes.

I drive autobahns every other day and my driver mirror does vibrate as do all of the other MINIs I have been in. You notice the drivers mirror as it is a normal perspective. My wife closley watched the other mirror as I was driving and she said it was vibrating as well.

When I picked up my car, my MA specifically instructed me to use the full range of the tachometer.

No doubt, so he can tell a future customer, "one customer ignored the break-in guidelines and his [fill in appropriate statement: (a) car was fine. These cars are built to be driven. (b) engine blew and was not covered by warranty. These are precision automobiles and the engine has to be properly broken in".] Of course, if event (b) occurs, your MA will insist he never told you any such thing.

Mine does also. Does'nt seem to fastened all that tight. Pretty chintzy feel to it. I can feel it's loose when I wash the car.

I don't know what Boston you're talking about. All the Mass. interstates I have driven on, even in the Boston area, are mad-dash, free-for-alls. I routinely end up approaching 90+ when I go down there for service on my MINI or to visit our friend Pat in Spaulding Rehab Hospital.

My driver side door mirrow vibrates too. Next time I'm in for service I'm going to ask about a fix for it.
