never been to a pully anything before but curious as to how they work...we buy the parts and is there a charge to have help in installing them? do you all do it? or is it a combo of both??? Sorry for all the questions but would love a pully, exhaust and cai put on...or perhaps pully and cai...hmmmmm

Well, you just have to show up with your car. I provide the parts and even give special pricing for the event. Then I'll install the parts right then and there while you wait. You can watch and ask any questions you have or have me look at any other problems you may have. We have alot of fun talking MINI's and then the most is the test drive after your mod. Give me a call to pre-order parts or ask any other questions you may have. Even if you don't want to get anything done it's fun to just hang out with other MINI owners.

Way, what are the ramifications of modifying a Mini that's under warranty? I've heard different things -- some mods were fine (CAI) and others were not (pulleys). I've read on mini2 that the legal argument behind BMW is somewhat questionable if they cannot link a car's mechanical failure directly to the after-market mods, but nevertheless it's not worth that hassle/risk for most people so no one challenges them. I will be getting much of my service done at my dealer in the future and I want to keep that relationship good. Have any of you ran into this issue with Mini of St. Louis?

Is there a difference in MiniUSA's eyes if I have my mods done by a certified BMW mechanic/shop, a dealer, or myself.

Thank you!

There are several threads that discuss the warranty concern. But with mods most of the time it will depend on the dealer and the tech working on the car if they even say anything or just look the other way. Check around and give me a call and we'll chat.

Way, is the party going to be at Gateway or another location?

I want to break her in before the mods but it would be fun to watch wrenches turn.

I see you can do Ipod installs....any chance you can do the Sirius? I should have all the parts by then.

Thanks
Rick

Wait... this event is on Friday? Darn it. I don't think I can make it now. I'll have to check. I was going to show up and see about getting some extra mussle to help me with my 'issue'. I went to clean my air filter, and I can't get my sway bar off! Not sure what happened. It was tight going down, but it went on, and now it just will not move.

Did you mean the strut tower bar rather than sway bar??

You could prob stop by in the afternoon or after work we will work all day.

For anyone "on the fence" about whether or not to let Way work on your car - he's a great guy and definitely knows his stuff when it comes to MINIs. He did a pulley and CAI, along with SD coil, wires, etc. on my car (@5200mi) at the Dragon. If you are hesitant, don't be - really.

Way,

Sorry i can't do the work we talked about. My repairs on the classic mini cost my way too much. Squirt will just have to wait for the new exhaust.

Thanks,
Mike

I will not have the Sirius radio parts for tomorrow, I just found out they just left Morristowon Mini today. I ordered the ANT and install kit Monday morning and got the tuner taken care of on Ebay Friday!

Also would help if we had wheels and tires on her and she was off the jack stands. But that is an entirely different story!

I will try and stop by if it is ok to do so with out a Mini?

Rick
