St Louis MINI Club Dragon Info

DRAGON CARAVAN

The Saint Louis Contingent will be joining other motorist from the west to continue their trek to Deals Gap, NC

We will meet at the Hardees restaurant at the intersection of Interstate 64 and US 50. (This is in Illinois, the next exit after Fairview Heights) This is exit # 14 it says “O’Fallon Exit”. When you get off the interstate you will see Hardees off to your right. The restaurant opens at 5:30 am for anyone who wants to eat. We will be departing from this location at 6:00 am SHARP. We have a lot of ground to cover, so we need to hit the road. We are leaving from this location to get on the east side of the metropolitan area so as not to deal with any morning rush hour traffic. If the group is too large, we will split up into two or three groups to speed up “pit stops”, gas stops, and eating.

A few things to remember for the Dragon trip.
  • Be sure to bring maps in case you get separated.
  • Bring a two way radio if you have one.
  • A good air gauge, but check you tires before you leave.A couple of cans of “fix-a-flat” are a good investment.
  • Cell phones typically don't work at the Dragon
  • A good flash light, it is dark at night at Fontana Village
  • And a smile, this will be a great MINI Adventure.
  • And don't forget the camera so you can bring all those memories home with you
Please RSVP to this thread or to me at lois@stlmini.com if you are planning to meet up with the group.

LET’S MOTOR

Looking forward to meeting all that may be joining the group motoring to MOTD.

Check with Doug(Zinful). I'm leaving early so I won't be motoring down with the group.

Can't Wait

Me and my wife will catch you at Exit 24 (New Baden), we'll be sitting on the shoulder at 6:10 looking for the group. We have two radio's amd we got our map off of Yahoo Maps. I would like to have someone cellphone # that's going (Doug), so if I'm waiting to long by the side of the road I can call and see if you have already passed by.

Does the registration get mailed to our home or do we need to pick up the registration at Fontana?

We will see everyone down at the Dragon after Gunner gets his free ride down on a trailer. We are probably getting our mods done Wednesday evening now vice Thursday so Gunner will be running a little peppier with a new SC Pulley and CAI on the Dragon.

I hope everyone has a great trip down.
