Does anyone know if MINI of St. Louis is planning anything special for the St. Louis auto show? Any neat giveaways?

I'll probably drop by on Saturday. Anyone else going?

 

I'm planning on going probably Sat too. I'm hoping the traveller is there for us to see. It would be nice to have giveaways, I had not thought of that but it would be nice.

That would be good but I don't have mine yet, have to send a check for membership this week. If you wear your I'll look for you. I'll probably wear my US Marine retired ball cap.

 

I would like to think they would have the traviler concept but they may not. They never have more that 3 mini's and are usually stuck in the corner. I went to the Detroit show last week and the mini set up was cool. They had the concept and 6 mini's. They had a live DJ blasting music. The entire set up was like a room and they had different mini's for different moods. They had a set up that was "Cool" it was a pepper white with a funky light hanging above it and great decals on the wall. Each one had a different theme. I will try to get photos up on the site when I can. The only down side was they only gave out that 3x3 info book that is not very informational and there was 3 "mini" reps working they all looked under 20 and sat at the booth the whole time! This is one thing I think Mini lacks is customer service, they rely on there marketing too much. So don't be surprized if they don't give anything out . It is just sad when Scion is giving out CD's, hats, Ipod cases, wristbands, and have reps who are excited and talking. I know mini doesn't have to give out stuff to make mini friends but owners love free stuff .

 

According to the Post-Dispatch, the MINI Traveller concept vehicle WILL be there!

 

Sorry to disappoint everyone but the "concept" is not here, as I'm working the show at GMC. No free stuff

There is nothing that i find interesting, but thats just me. The only concept here is the Toyota FJ http://www.toyota.com/vehicles/future/fjcruiser.html

Our car show pretty much sucks, unless you want to see what new gigantic trucks Ford, Chevy, and Dodge have come out with. :-(
I went a couple years ago and the only highlight for me was sitting in the RX-8 when it was new, but I could have done that in a showroom.

 

OK, you guys have convinced me to stay away.

I've already missed the chance to win some prizes---Wednesday was when you had to throw in your name, I think.

 

I posted photos in my gallery for thoes of you who wanted to see how cool the set up was. If you ever get the chance to go to Detroit it is worth it. It makes STL auto show feel like a used car lot

 

The show was very dissapointing this year. I got a landyard from the guy at MINI booth but they were not giving anything out persay. It was nice seeing the BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, but not more more. No invisable bra vendors, no after market info of any kind, to me it was a waste of time going. The traveller was not there, they had no intension of bringing it per the conversation with the MINI rep.

 

Think that there was an artical in the week-end post about the new Mini concept car for 2007 - it's a wagon.
