April 4, 2005 8:00AM FINAL Update
When: April 9, 2005
Time: 9:00AM Start (All Day Event)
Driving Instructions Start at 8:50AM
Starting Location: Park n' Ride on the South side of Hwy. 40 at Hwy. 94. (Same place as last year) For those unfamiliar, see this link:

The Route: And on the 7th day... WE MOTORED! With my trusty co-pilot and navigator (7 mon. Drew) in tow, we etched in stone the final route selection. And for those who felt I had an underlying tone in the name selection of 'The Big Muddy Rallye', I very nearly did. Yesterday we experienced 15miles of great gravel roads with some of the best views! But as I fear for those Cabrios and their open top demeanor, we have selected a more refined route of a paved nature.
Morning Route: The Route will take us from the Park n' Ride along portions of last year's route to Washington, MO where we will cross 'The Big Muddy'. Here we will take a quick pit stop for those gas guzzling S's and those that forgot their picnic lunch, as well as to stretch our feet. We'll then head south and west through the twisty roads of rural Missouri getting hopelessly lost before popping out in Hermann for lunch.
Lunch: Lunch will be picnic style in the picturesque and quaint town of Hermann, and provided by yourselves. But feel free to bring along extra goodies for your fellow motorists to savor.
Afternoon Route: This route will take us North, back over 'The Big Muddy' where we will once again get aimlessly lost touring the finest points of Missouri. We'll then cross 'The Big Muddy' a final time back into Washington to distract the community one last time and once again make a pit stop. We'll then head south and east making our way back into the Big City, but not before finding a few more twisty roads to tease our Minis with! Re-entering the city (namely Chesterfield Valley) we will make a final stop at a dinner destination (yet to be determined, but open to suggestions), where those that would like may continue on their way, and others may dine and enjoy some fine conversation and food.
Items of Importance: Maps, routes, and iteniaries will be provided the day of the event. FRS radios are suggested but not required. We are currently working on sponsors for this event, and hope to have some great giveaways, stay tuned. Also, we are trying to make arrangements to have placards similiar to the past two rallyes, but these are not confirmed yet, more information to follow on this.
Memoirs of our adventure will be available in the form of placards, similiar to the past 2 events and available for the price of $8.00 (cost) and can be purchased at the event, either prior, during, or after.
As many of you know, the spring and fall events are not ones to be missed. As usual, if you're going to be there, or can't be, let me know at stlminievents@sbcglobal.net, or post it here.

Fabulous! I haven't been able to do any events since I've had my Mini (due to pregnancy, sigh) but now that my newest co-driver has arrived, I'm in! (And I can finally pick up my shirt, maybe it will fit now!)

As with last year's rallye, this years will generally follow the Missouri River out and back. As the river is 'The Big Muddy', the rallye is 'The Big Muddy Rallye'
. Other than that, it will be a clean rallye, although it may be dusty, but who wants to call it 'The Dusty Rallye'?

"Muddy"? Why "muddy"?! I don't want my baby to get dirty!

Love the name!
Questions:
1.) Same meet point as last time?
2.) Will there be placards again?
