To all that were there: Wow, what a great time with fun cars and fun people! :smile: I can't wait for the next event. Paul, thanks for getting this thing together and choosing some really fun roads!

Yeah, Doug and Clint -- thanks for getting us hooked-up with that. See, I knew there was a good reason we hung out with you guys!

(Doug - the bonnet stripes look fantastic -- installed them later on Saturday -- I'll e-mail you some pics when I have them.)

 

Thanks to all who turned out. Jenna and I had just as much fun on those roads as the rest of you! And I know that those we passed got a good smile or laugh out of it to, as we saw with the SUV who pulled off at Old State Road.

Next up for me will be the fall Rallye in mid-October! But you're all welcome to plan some interim ones (as Doug aka Zinful is)!

Many, many "Thanks" for coordinating the impromptu run Saturday morning. Great people, great conversation, and of course....great MINI's!!!

And a great big "THANK YOU" to the "Mini Modifiers" for giving Ariel her first mod. I can't wait to see the glowing red aura of the first unsuspecting person who pulls up behind me after dark.

 

Yeah...the bright red glow seems overwhelming, eventhough my LED bar is out??? I am always looking at the cars behind me when I brake now, its amusing to watch them turn red.

When are we gonna see the pictures?

Oh, me and my friend went back on some of the first roads we went on last night, with the video camera. I got going a little bit faster this time, and scared the hell outta my friend holding the camera. It was a lot of fun. I got extremely scared coming outta one turn though, because there were two deer standing on the edge of the road(each about half the size of my car ). GG stopping power, I went from about 60 to 10 in a heartbeat. But, yeah, I finally put the new rubber to the test, made em squeal a little. I can really see now how my car will bennefit from a rear sway bar, especially when breaking through turns, the back tends to dance around a little.

Those roads are awesome, thanks for showing me, and giving me the directions!

 

Seeing that I'm a loser that still doesn't have a digital camera , I'll have to fill up the roll with some other shots and get them developed onto a photo CD. Seeing that I didn't have a co-pilot with me, I don't have any shots of us on the roads, however. But, it's always cool to see pictures with many MINIs in them! I'll try to crop-out that stupid Saturn that was in the final parking lot!
