I am a new MINI owner, I live in South central Illinois, Effingham to be exact. I thought I had seen another MINI owner from Effingham while I was lurking in the forums last week. If you are out there let me know. I have only seen 2 other MINI's here in the Effingham area. Which one do you drive? I am driving a MINI Cooper S, all black with a moonroof. It has Virginia plates on it right now, drove it back from Norfolk a couple of weeks ago.

MsBrit here - Wow we actually have a total of 4 Minis in Effingham (mine is the Chili Red / Black MCS) . The other two are Pepper White / Black S and Pepper White/White Cooper. I'm surprised I haven't seen you yet, but I'm sure we will meet up soon. Have you joined the St Louis Mini club yet ? If not, you need to sign up - my husband and I have participated in thier events (when we can). They are a great group of people who like to have fun - if you want we can "Motor" over to one of the events together. If you don't mind me asking,where are you located ? If you want, just send me a PM and maybe we can make arrangements for our Minis to meet.

It was nice meeting you as well....we need to try and get something together closer to where we are located. I dont mind going to STL....but it would be nice to have something a little closer!

 

I think we are looking to try and do a small get together out that way this fall.

Hi all... I'm also a new MINI owner (3 weeks today) from central IL. Springfield to be exact. Just a quick hop from both Pana and Effingham. Have been through both many times on my way to visit the sister in Vincennes. I haven't really seen very many MINI owners here considering our size.

 

If we can get enough people who are close like the three of us are....we could start our own club! If you know anyone else that is close to us that would be interested let them know and we can try to get something started!!!

 

Annie, if you see a green Mini with a single white stripe down the middle this weekend, that'll be me! We're coming up to catch part of the American Music Festival downtown.

 

I'll keep on the look-out for ya Mike! I'm driving a "nekkid" Spice Orange Metallic S so that'll be me. Pretty sure it's the only SOM in town. It would be great if we could get a few downstaters together for a club! The closest ones I know of are St. Louis, Chicago, or Evansville all about the same distance for me. But like I said I've only seen about three other MINIs scooting around town. I might have seen Mike last week-end up north on Veterans? seem to remember passing a green, white stripe. Of course it was headed the other way! Any... excuse to drive this car and I do mean Any!
