"donut" spare

I ditched the runflats for better performing tires. Added a BMW flat kit and a AAA card or MINI ROADSIDE assistance. This should cover me for motoring in and around the st. louie area

In August I'm gonna do the MITM with a tour of southern Colorado before and for extra peace of mind thinking of taking along a spare donut. (cell coverage can be pretty spotty)

Does somebody have one I could borrow? (has my personal replacement if damaged guarantee)

Thanks ahead of time

Spare

Tim, I have a spare, but I will be going toe MITM too. You are free to borrow it any other time.
I found mine on line, check NAM, e-bay and all the other usual sites.
Also check the junk yards, they should be able to locate one for you, after all, a lot of minis do get over driven and crashed. People don't remember the swerve part of "Drive Fast & Swerve!"
Good luck, hope this helps.

There were 2 of them out on the median by our house with a sign "free to a good home" I should have grabbed one for you

I'm serious. You can put anything out on the curb in Kirkwood & someone will come along & take it.

We've got some extra full sized wheels with tires but no spare spares.

Lois

Thanks Lois!

Have some old guy in my end of town (north creve coeur) who spends every trash day making the circuit up and down every street. He fixes the stuff up and has a garage sale like every other week. must be his fun money!

Part # HR76-5615

Something to keep in mind - the 15's won't fit the front brakes - so if you get a flat in the front, you'll need to put the donut in the back and take a tire in the back and put it up front

I've read all sorts of speculation and suggestions of what might work. Tested and tried by yours truly. A 2002 Honda Civic 15" donut spare fits the back wheels of a R56, see no reason it would not work with a R53.

Motor on (even in emergencies)
