STL European Auto Show
STL European Auto Show
The 22nd annual European Auto Show will be held on June 7th (with a rain date of June 14). This show is a benefit for Saint Louis Shriners Hospital for Children. As you know, this is the 50th Anniversary of the Mini, so lets have a good showing of our cars at this show to help celebrate this milestone. They are only allowing 200 cars to enter, so let's make sure they know the Mini/MINI has it's place in automotive history. Register soon, you can get more information and a registration form at: www.stleuropeanautoshow.com .
Hope to see you there, either showing your car, of just stopping by to talk MINI/Mini.
Cheers,

Time Is Running Out
This event is filling up, be sure to register for this great show. It is the 50th Anniversary of the Mini............let's have a good turnout from the Saint Louis Mini Club..............Classic and New Minis.
I think it would be nice if we could arrange the Minis according to year, especially since it is the 50th anniversary.
It might be difficult though since people arrive at different times, unless someone has a list of all the expected entrants and assigns them to their proper spot as they arrive.

Get There Early
Our best bet is to get there early so we can at least be in a group. They always "Oversell" the number of spaces and that is when it becomes a mess.
I sure hope we have a good turn out and have a nice Birthday Party for our Marque. See you there.

I just think it would be cool to have a line of Minis in order from 1959-2009 !
Set up time for the show is 10-11 AM.
We'll meet starting at 9 AM on the parking lot in back of the hotel. If we want to go in order, we'll need to start staging the cars around 9:30 and then drive over between 9:45-10:00.

The only thing is that not all Minis that join this show are StlMini club members, so we will have to re-organize the line-up after we get in the show area.
Sounds Like a good plan
That sounds just fine to me. 9:30 it is.
Which hotel?
Honestly I am a little leery of putting mine in this show
I recently saw pictures from another show with kids crawling all over the inside of some guys 60's Impala. I'd like to support the 50th anniv and planning to attend as a spectator but am a little reluctant to pick up a bunch of scratches and cotton candy stains. Yes I am a ***** about my baby
Any protection for the cars? Nothing stated on the website and the entry form has a clear disclaimer around any damage and it appears folks have open access.
Could you share past experiences with my concerns?

I am very picky about my cars and have never worried about showing. Also, there are always club members milling around to help keep an eye on things.
If the show bothers you, parking the car in anywhere in public should bother you more.

My MINI is a ~6 year old daily driver and has lots of imperfections, but the show is for a good cause, so I try to join when I can.

Edit: I agree with Racetripper's comment on parking in public places!
