I found this Sunday morning car show out you's way, in Aliso Viejo. It seems kind of new so maybe they're looking for any kind of participation.

Yeah, that is a very cool place - I hang out there in the evenings once in a while since several of my friends live in South Orange County (which they refer to as the "Golden Ghetto" ) I have already talked to the owner and his daughter (Jennifer) about a MINI/Mini show and they were stoked about it. I will be there this Sunday and will tell everybody else about it.

My buddy lives down the street from there. We're hooking up between 8 and 8:30 that morning.

 

I will keep it in mind. Might need to unwind a little post-holiday.

The coffee shop (and car show) is in the HUGE parking lot of the Aliso Viejo Public Library, which is closed Sunday, so the venue is perfect. I will be there and I have told a few New and classic Mini owners about it, so we might have a good turnout. The coffee shop opens up at 8am, so I would be there about that time. I typically show up a little earlier, though.

 

I will probably drop by as I'll be in Corona Del Mar this weekend visiting my parents.

 

Hey Strom I really hope you can make it. I've always loved the look of your car(especially with those huge stoptechs ) and I really want to see it in person.

I'll be there if I wake up on time:impatient . I'll set my alarm but that doesn't always work. I'm so disapointed I really wanted to show off my new wheels and tires but there was a little problem so I'll be showing up with the good ol s-lites and runflats(that by the way are as bald as tires can get before you start seeing the wiring). Anyways should still be a good time as long as my tires don't explode on my way there . Look forward to meeting everyone!!!

Thanks to B&B for this suggestion - it was a lot of FUN. I counted 16 Minis - 10 new and 6 classic (including a woody and a Moke.) A small group of us got together for a short drive through Laguna Canyon and along the coast. We drove through Balboa Island then took the ferry to Newport Beach where we stopped for lunch at the Crab Cooker, a place that has been there for over 50 years and has the best clam chowder around! It was the most beautiful day I can remember in years - prefectly clear out, crisp air, and an excellent view of Catalina Island. What more can you ask for in late November? Just wondering if you guys still meet up here every sunday. Or are there any specific time/dates yall meet up here. My wife's MC is interested to check out some cool looking minis in the area.
