Anyone know of a good performance shop in the L.A. area with experience installing after market pulleys, exhaust, ect on the MCS?

Thanks.

Steve's IMHO is a good facility. The owner (Steve) himself owns one of the first Ss in So Cal and sells as well as installs pulleys and other performance parts. I had him align my car after the H&R spring install and we chit chatted a bit about the car and he's one of the more knowledgable mechanics (he isn't a tuner) that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. I don't have his number, but if you PM maxmini he can give you his number. His shop is on the corner of Nordhoff and Lindley.

I've also heard good things about Meridian, but they deal with much more high-end clientele (Porsches and Ferraris).

Miniyellow, you are in San Pedro so it's a no brainer. You go to Johnny's Auto Clinic in...wait for it...San Pedro. He owns a Cooper S and has it modded out nicely. He has done several of my mods for me including pulley and header. Look his number up in the phone book or pm me tomorrow and I'll have it for you.

This is the post I've been waiting for. I think it's been rather strange that while it seems that most of the MINIs sold in the US are here in SoCal ( I work in Hollywood and a day doesn't go by without seeng at least 3-4 other MINIs on the road), there are very few aftermarket installers. It's been the major reason I haven't even attempted to get any parts. Thanks you guys, Steve sounds like a solid reference.

Steves auto clinic has so far installed for me 2 exhaust systems, 2 coil over suspension systems, pulley, jackson racing header, BMP short shifter,Goodrige braided steel brake lines, 2 sets of adjustable rear camber arms, front and rear sway bars, mounted and balanced 2 sets of tires, four wheel aligned my car several times , met me at his shop at 9:30 pm on a sunday night , worked till 1 am to help me install a roll bar in time for a monday morning photo shoot and has sorted out several warning codeswith his diagnostic equipment. Yes it has become my home away from home. I went by there last sat and ther was a hot blue mini up on the lift for a short shifter. rear camber arm and K&N install, and another mini from whittier in for a pulley mod. In back was the M7 turbo project. It looked like a MINI dealershio . He is a car guy from day one and even has a S of his own his second mini already. I can't say enough about this guy or his service. He really likes the mini community, you cant go wrong. Tell him randy sent you
