Saturday night I spotted a CR/W Cooper at Sunset Station in Las Vegas. I parked 3 spots away from it, but I lost my cash fast so it was still there when I left.
Anyway, the plate was a California plate LBMINI3.
I don't know if the owner is on MCO, but if so, I hope you had a good time in Vegas, and left us your money.

Only time I have gotten a loaner from Long Beach is when my car was there for 30+ days.

 

Hey, I was in Vegas over the weekend but I have an Indi Blue MC.

Saturday afternoon I did see a Chili Red that had some sort of graphics on the doors. It was heading in the opposite direction. The only other Coop I saw was "parked" in front of the Plaza across from Freemont. I have pics on my weblog if you want to check it out.

That MINI outside the Plaza means that they've given at least 2 away. I've seen 2 different coloured ones there, and now a yellow one. Boulder Station has given away 4 that I know of. The Palms has one in the casino that they are raffling off. 500 tickets @ $100 each with the money going to the Marky Mark foundation for kids. It's been there since the premier of The Italian Job.
I saw more MINIs on saturday (4) than I've seen in the last 3 weeks combined. It's true, there don't seem to be that many around.

 

So I take it that the MINIs that've been raffled off have gone to out-of-towners?

 

Let's see...the ones the Plaza has given away most likely went to tourists. Locals usually don't play on the Strip or downtown.
The Boulder Station ones went to locals, but there's no guarantee the winners kept them. It's common for car winners to take cash instead. Especially when you are responsible for the value of the car being included in "income" for tax purposes. You win a $20,000 car and get a tax bill in April for $7,000. It'd be nice to have that money. My mother-in-law's bf won a Mustang on a slot machine. Took $17,000 cash after tax. And he didn't have to get the car from Elko, Nevada back to Nebraska.
I don't know about you, but if I won another MINI, I'd probably take the cash, pay off my wife's car, put some cash into the house, fund our IRAs for the year and pay for a trip home (Australia). I already have a MINI that I ordered exactly how I wanted. I could use the cash better right now.
