There's a Chili Red and another Silver Mini (with Bob Smith paper plates) I see parked at my office building in Calabasas on Park Sorrento...also, I saw a Carbon Grey parked along side Agoura Road, and when I got home, I saw a PW/Black top parked at the Valencia Town Center.
4 parked Mini's in one day...and it was such a beautiful day to be out motoring.

I saw a very unique MINI in downtown Garden Grove Wednesday night. It was BRG with Welsh flags on the mirrors and the roof was painted tartan (plaid). It was nice to see such a well done non-race-theme custom for a change. The paint - not sticker - on the roof was amazing and must have cost a fortune.

I honked to an IB/W with Union Jack roof stuck in a pack of cars coming from Julian on Hwy 79 this afternoon. Sorry to see a fellow Mini trapped like that. Sadly I was trapped not too much longer - a blast on Wynola Road made up for it though! Then ended up following a Team Voodoo Miata over Old Julian Road to Ramona. We both got blown away by a crotch rocket, of course, but still lots of fun.
Were you in a Pepper White?
That was probably me (2004 MCS IB/W, Union Jack). I waved back, but don't know if I got that off in time. I was returning from a run with a bunch of "proper" (classic) Minis in the SD Minis club. We had had a fast run up Palomar (no slow traffic! On a weekend! And the only crotch rocket who passed wasn't entirely insane).
I was headed south through Cuyamaca Park to I-8 and home in Pacific Beach. I pulled over at the campgrounds next to Stonewall Peak and let the traffic clear ahead for a while, so had a good fast run through the twisties and curves for several miles without trouble - didn't even catch up to any traffic until nearly the end of the park itself. Was very nice.

I went 2-for-3 in the wave back department yesterday. Wave from a BRG cabrio on Lomas Santa Fe around 12:45. No wave from a BRG MCS on 101 shortly thereafter. Yes wave from a PS MC on Friars Rd around 7pm.
.667 isn't a bad average these days!

This afternoon around 4pm . . .
PS/PS MCS northbound on 605, between 105 and Santa Ana Frwy. Assael frames with Las Vegas, NV plates.
I would've waved but was in wife's Mazda MX3, rather than my MINI. (don't ask)

This evening in El Cajon, circa 6:00 pm
PS/B MC heading south on Main, at Magnolia. I was in Ollie & didn't get a wave off in time.
This afternoon in El Cajon, circa lunch time, near the Jack in the Box. LY/B MC Convertible, parked by the side of the road, all by it's lonesome.

Saw 2 MINI's today, and the enthusiasm was in the air!! Pepper White MCS on 10 East near Cal State LA, got a very nice wave!! Then later, I encountered a brand new Black MC with Crevier plates headed 10 West near the Normandy exit! Also a very enthusiastic wave! Thank you! You both made my day!!!
Happy New Year!

Hubby encountered an Indi Blue Cooper (Mickey Mouse antenna ball on it) getting on the 5 going north at the Del Mar exit. They did the wave thing...
They traveled together all the way to Oceanside getting off at the 76 East...
I saw a DS/B (I think) leaving the Convention Center parking lot this afternoon...
Yesterday afternoon spotted a BRG/B going East on Vista Way....Brecht license plate frame I believe...
