Camshaft Installation in So Cal?

So... good ol Sandy Clause left me a long bumpity steel rod under me tree last night...

Now... who's gonna help me install it?!

Has anyone done a Cam install in So Cal or perhaps know a shop who can help a brutha out?! Like most of us directly after the Christmas season I'm a little strapped for the finances, so I'm lookin for a good deal.

If anyone has done a Cam install and are willing to assist or know a place who will do a good deal.. please please please let me know! Thanks guys!

P.S. Probably gonna do a Pulley install at the same time... figure I got that motormount off anyway, right?

Check with Steve (Steve's Auto Clinic) if he can do it, and also MINI Corsa.

Let's just say he has a little trouble with his facts and his shop is a three ring circus...otherwise I suppose he is just fine...

Steve's Auto Clinic (818) 891-6109 is the best shop for MINI's in So. Cal. especially if you like things done right the first time.

This B.H. circus clown "Mark" went into Steve's shop & got belligerent & rude with Steve and got thrown out.
So don't listen to the haters who say "it's a circus" because they were too big of p.i.t.a. to even get into the "circus" tent.

More folks love Steve's Auto Clinic & the fine work he provides to the MINI community.

Happy motoring!
Best of luck wherever you go.

Lets get your facts straight, first of all they had me come back 3 times for the same parts that were never there and he told me he ordered three different times from Alta, just get your story straight, then he tries to switch out a 25 mm sway bar that I did not order, then they tell me to come back once again because the parts are in...the clown never even opened the box (oops wrong parts)and had me come back out one more time for nothing..yes I got mad, very mad and I left and told him what he could do with his parts. If that's being thrown out of the tent than OH Well...I guess you can get it done right the first time if you can actually get it done. Some of us have more to do with our lives than waste our time going back and forth to a shop and getting nothing done ..I am sure Steve is a great guy...Guess I just had a bad experience..life goes on....Happy Holidays

I find myself in a personal quandary. Both shops have done work on my cars. Both are professional with great prices. Danny at Minicorsa offers a more personal service as he does all the work himself. Steve's can take a little longer because he is usually busy (for a good reason), but if you plan accordingly it should not present a problem. Bottom line is both do quality work.

Steve is a great guy and knows his stuff but I think he would even agree that is shop can sometimes be a circus. (His shop does work on MINIs as well as other cars.) Danny does the work himself and his work is awesome. He often can do the work while you wait. Another great option is Central Coast Coopers. Scott is very involved with the MINI community and his work is top-notch.
