[AZ] I'm looking for a new job.
#1
I sense the end of my time at my current job is quickly approaching. I'm in the hunt for a new job. Since many of you here on NAM are technical in nature, I figured it'd be nice to network with people at a place I spend much of my time.
For the last three years I've been doing HTML, ASP, MS SQL Server, Visual Basic, and javascripting and handle customizations of a CRM called SalesLogix. I also have a BS in Computer Information Systems. I'm basically your Information Systems guru. Let me know if your company has any positions I might be able to fill. I can get you my complete resume upon request.
Thanks,
Dominic

>>dominic,
>>I'm in the same field, I'm my company's .net guru. Before deciding to keep my LA job and move to phoenix, I was looking for work there. I was approached by a company called Immedient. They have an office in Scottsdale, check them out.
Hmmm, I've been doing .Net since it came out, using C#, going to a MS Gurelia class dec 8th, 2nd time, I know, I know, but I glazed over some stuff the first time and our company had extra trainning certif. left, flying to LA on Sat for some sight seeing, I do all the framework backend Object work. we are in Atlanta, if we decide to bring more people on I'll shoot ya a PM

Check out the Developing Web Applications with C# MCAD Study book. Great preparation for the test, but also a very good introductory book with many examples.
Doesn't seem like .net has been around for that long, but I've been working with it before it was even in beta. My last company was on an industry advisory panel for .net, and we got to develop showcase applications for MSDN.
I also got to speak at Dev Days 2001 and a few more smaller MSDN sessions about Web Services and SOAP.
If you have any .net questions, fire me off an email at gdurzi@hotmail.com.
The outlook is actually not that gloomy. InformationWeek shows statistics that while software engineering jobs are declining, people with solid .net experience are getting more and more jobs.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of unskilled people they have to sift through. Not many people actually have solid .net production environment experience.

I'm going to need a lot of luck in a job industry where IT/IS people like myself are a dime a dozen.
